Speed of a body = Distance travelled/Time taken
(i)Speed from A to B=3cm/5s=3/5 cm/s
(ii)Speed from B to C=(3-3)cm/(7-5)s=0cm/2s=
0cm/s
(iii)Speed from C to D=(7-3)cm/(9-7)s=4cm/2s =2cm/s
I have done so because you have asked the speed of a body in certain period of time.
So the speed of the body in that certain period of time is the distance travelled in that time divided by the time taken to travel that distance.
HOPE IT HELPS

heya

here is your answer

(i) when it moved from A to B

total distance= 3cm

total time= 5sec

so speed = 5/3 cm/s

(ii)when it moved from B to C

total distance = 3-3=0cm

total time= 7-5= 2sec

so speed = 0/2=0 cm/s

(iii)when it moved from C to D

total distance = 7-3= 4cm

total time = 9-7= 2sec

so speed= 4/2= 2cm/s

hope this will help you

any further doubt ask me anytime

please like my answer if it is helpful

thank you
