GiveN :

  • No. of Oscillations = 75
  • Time (t) = 1min = 60 s

To FinD :

  • Frequency
  • Time Period

SolutioN :

As we know that, Frequency is defined as Number of oscillations per unit time. So,

⇒f = 75/60

⇒f = 1.25 Hz

And, time period is reciprocal of Frequency. So,

⇒t = 1/f

⇒t = 1/1.25

⇒f = 100/125

⇒f = 0.8 s

Answer:

  • Frequency = 1.25 Hertz = 1.25 s⁻¹
  • Time period =0.8 sec

Explanation:

Given that,

Heart of the man beats 75 times in a minute

Since, frequency is known as the number of vibration made per second therefore,

[ using 1 min = 60 seconds ]

→ Frequency = 75 / 60

Frequency = 1.25 Hertz

Now, since time period is known as the time taken for each vibration. and it is given by the formula

→ Time period = 1 / frequency

so,

→ Time period = 1 / 1.25

→ Time period = 100/125

Time period = 0.8 sec

Therefore,

  • Frequency = 1.25 Hertz = 1.25 s⁻¹
  • Time period = 0.8 sec.
