I feel it is possible to love a pet as a child in the same manner as Bruno, as I had a pet dog whom i loved that way.

It was May 16, 2019 that I had to part with my pet dog, Timmy. Timmy had grown old, and also had rabies, and so we had to put to him to sleep.

Timmy was with us for 15 years, and came to our home as a small puppy.  I had taken care of him the same way I took care of my son, Nathan. Hence, the parting was terrible for me.

I would wake up in the middle of the night hearing his bark, and then realize it was just a dream. He had a special blanket which i preserved in memory of him. Many times i would take out this blanket and cry.It took me about a year to get over him, and buy a new puppy.
