Two of its uses are:

(1) It is used as an antacid in medicine to remove acidity of the stomach

(2) It is also used in fire extinguisher

(b) Those substances whose smell odour changes in acidic or basic solution are called olfactory indicators e.g. onion and vanilla.

(c) CH3COOH, H2CO3 are both weak acids
