A theatre has the capacity to seat people across two levels, the Circle and the Stalls. The ratio of the number of seats in the Circle to the number of seats in the Stalls is 2:5 Last Friday, the audience occupied all the 528 seats in the Circle and 2- of the seats in the Stalls. Work out the percentage of occupancy of the theatre last Friday. Give your answer to 2 significant figures. You must show how you get your answer.

Solution :-
Let Total Number of Seat in circle and Stalls are 2x and 5x Respectively.
we have given that, circle seats were 528.
So,
→ 2x = 528
→ x = 528/(2x)
→ 5x = (528/2x) * 5x = 1320 .
So, Total Number of Seats in The theatre are = 1320 + 528 = 1848.

Now, Given That, (2/3) of Stalls Seats were occupied on last Friday ...
So,
→ (2/3) of 1320 = (2/3) * 1320 = 880 Seats.

Hence, Total Occupied Seats on Friday are = 880 + 528 = 1408 Seats.
So,
→ Total % of Seats Occupied = (1408 * 100) / 1848 = 76.19% (Approx).
Hence, On Last friday There were 76.19% Total Seats occupied in Theatre.
