Answer:

120 km

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say After D km Police caught the thief

Time Taken by Tief for D km  = D/60  hr

Time Taken by Poice = D/80 hr

D/60  - D/80  = 1/2   ( 30 Mins = 1/2 hr)

Multiplying by 249 both sides

4D - 3D = 120

=> D = 120 km

Police has covered 120 km when thief is Caught
