  • Length of wire = 40 cm
  • Wire fold into in a rectangle .
  • Length of rectangle = 12 cm

Find :-

  • Breadth of rectangle

When, wire fold into a rectangle

then, total length of wire will be same perimeter of rectangle .

That's mean,

  • Length of wire = Perimeter of rectangle

Now, Calculate

==> Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × (Length + Breadth)

Keep above Value,

==> 40 = 2 × (12 + Breadth)

==> Breadth + 12 = 40/2

==> Breadth = 20 - 12

==> Breadth = 8

Hence

  • Breadth of Rectangle will be = 8 cm
