Oil and gas fulfil 40% of the energy needs of our country. They are used in vehicles, industries and farming. Nearly, 75% of crude oil is imported every year. So if the consumers utilize them properly we can cut down the expenditure on such imports.

In order to promote awareness among the people about using fuel in a proper manner the government has taken various steps. Every year the Oil And Gas Conservation Fortnight is observed all over the country. A number of seminars, quizzes, discussions, drawing competitions, cycle rallies and many other activities are taken up to familiarize the people with the various ways of conserving fuel and using it properly.

So if each one uses oil and gas in a responsible manner we can conserve a lot of fuel.
