H = wl2/8h this formula is not apply when apply H = 781kg why answer is 1250kg.

Given,

Weight of the isolated load=100kg,

Distance from the crown=2.5m,

To find,

Value of the horizontal thrust.

Solution,

We know the horizontal thrust is applied to both bolt action rifles.

So, the formula of horizontal thrust is,

Horizontal thrust=load× horizontal distance/2×distance above the hinges

H=px/2h

  =1000×2.5/2×1

  =2500/2

  =1250kg

Hence, the horizontal thrust is 1250kg.
