Given : A three-tier car park has eight rows in each tier.

Each row can accommodate 28 cars.

One such car park is one block.

there are five such blocks

To Find :   the maximum capacity of car parking

Solution:

Each row can accommodate 28 cars.

On tier has   8 rows

=> cars in one tier  = 8 * 28  =  224 Cars

Cars in 3  tiers  = 3 * 224  = 672

One such car park is one block.

Hence one block  has   672 cars

Cars in 5 blocks  = 5 * 672  =  3360

maximum capacity of car parking  =  3360
