a)Through same current flows through the electric line wires and the filament of bulb, yet only the filament glows.Why?
b) An electric iron is rated 2 kw at 220 v. Calculate the capacity of the fuse that should be used for the electric iron.
c) The filament of an electric lamp wch draws a current of 0.25 A is used for four hours . Calculate the amont of charge flowing through the circuit

A-BECAUSE IT IS MADE OF TUNGSTEN WHICH GLOWS DUE TO THE PRESENCE OF ARGON GAS INSIDE THE BULB.

B-
Therefore, the capacity of the fuse should be 9 A so that if current exceeds the given required amount, it gets heated up, melts, and break the circuit.

C-
c) Here, I= 0.25 A
             t= 4 hrs. ie. 4*60*60
                               = 14400 seconds

I= Q/t
Q=I*t
   =  0.25*14400
   = 3600 A.
