A highly developed ear enables a tiger to detect the faintest rustle from a distance, many a time through dense foliage. It helps a tiger to take up a vantage position in hunt. Notice the white spots on the back of a tiger's ear. They are always twitching like a radar dish analyzing sounds for prey or for danger.
