❏ Solution:-

Given:-

  • Side of square tile = 20 cm.
  • Side of floor = 3 m. =300 cm.

To Find:-

  • No. of tiles required = ?

Explanation :-

Area of each tile = 20² cm² = 400 cm².

and

Area of the floor = 300² cm² = 90000 cm²

Therefore , No. of tiles = N (let)

\sf\implies N=\dfrac{900\cancel{00}}{4\cancel{00}}\:pcs

\sf\implies N=\dfrac{\cancel{900}}{\cancel{4}}\:pcs

\sf\implies\boxed{ \large{\red{N=225\:pcs}}}

∴ Number of tiles required is = 225 pcs.
