First, we have to change m into cm,

As we know that,

1 m = 100 cm

Then,

  • Length = 1 m = 100 cm
  • Breadth = 85 cm
  • Height = 60 cm

According to the question by using the formula we get,

2 × 60(100 + 85) + 100 × 85

2 × 60(185) + 8500

120(185) + 8500

22200 + 8500

30700 cm²

Hence, the area of the tin is 30700 cm².

Now, we have to find the cost of the tin,

If, the cost of 1 cm² tin is Rs 0.50

Then, the cost of 30700 cm² is 30700 × Rs 0.50 = Rs 15350.
