total area = 2 (LB + BH + LH) - L * B
= 2 (9*2 + 2*0.5 + 9*0.5) - 9 * 2
= 2 (18 + 1 + 4.5) - 18
= 2 ( 23.5 ) - 18
= 47 - 18
= 29
