A tin holds 16.5 litres of oil. how many such tins will be required to hold 313.5 litres of oil?​

Answer is 19

quantity of oil the tin holds = 16.5

number of tins required to hold 313.5 = 16.5 × x = 313.5

16.5 × x = 313.5

=x = 313.5/16.5

    = 19

∴number of tins required to hold 313.5 is 19
