Hey there!

Meristems occurring in between those maturely developed tissues are often called as intercalary meristematic tissue, which (as per the query) are found in grasses rooted into the soils which're having a ability to regenerate their parts of certain components (like main bulbs, roots, etc.) when they're uprooted or slightly damaged by herbivores usually over-grazing the lands for attaining the nutrients.

Intercalary meristematic tissue are lying in the areas of permanent types of  tissues or structures further combined or usually maintained as a important part of primary formed meristematic tissues removed or expelled out which's well attributed due to development and reforming and / or makings of inter-mediating tissues found in permanent tissues.

They're more often appearing in bases of tissues under leafy structures in a structure called as Pinus and in inter-nodes (as said the regenerating parts) in those grasses or at the bases of interlocking nodes, vice-versa.

Hope this helps and clears the doubts for it in a detailed version!
