A titration was done using a 0.200 M nitric acid, HNO3 and calcium hydroxide, Ca(OH)2. 20 mL portions of the alkali required 27.80 mL of the acid for complete neutralization. The balanced chemical equation for the reaction is seen below.

2HNO3 + Ca(OH)2 -----> Ca(NO3)2 + 2H2O
