Answer:

A = 120

B = 240

C = 1200

Step-by-step explanation:

A+B+C = 1560   (1)

It is given that: A = 0.5B    (2)

It is also given that: B = 0.2C

Therefore, C = B/0.2

C = 5B    (3)

Substitute by equations (2) and (3) in equation (1):

0.5B + B + 5B = 1560

6.5B = 1560

B = 240

Therefore, A = 0.5(240) = 120 , and C = 5(240) = 1200

Answer:

A = Rs 120

B = Rs 240

C = Rs 1200

Step-by-step explanation:

Define x:

Let C gets x amount

B gets 20% of what C gets:

B = 20% of x

B = 0.2x

A gets 50% of what B gets:

A = 50% of 0.2x

A = 0.5(0.2x) = 0.1x

Solve x:

The total amount is Rs 1560

x + 0.2x + 0.1x = 1560

1.3x = 1560

x = Rs 1200

Find each amount:

A = 0.1x = 0.1(1200) = Rs 120

B = 0.2x = 0.2(1200) = Rs 240

C = x = Rs 1200

Answer: A gets Rs 120, B gets Rs 240 and C gets Rs 1200
