hey mate the answer is 200

as per condition:-

A/2=B/3=C/4= let X

then A=2X,B=3X,C=3X

then 2X+3X+4X=1800

9X=1800

X=1800/9

X=200

A=2(200)=400

The A's part is Rs 400.

GIVEN

  • Sum of Money = Rs 1800
  • Half of A’s part, one third of B’s part and one fourth of C’s part is equal.

TO FIND

A’s part.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above probelm as follows;

According to the question-

Let the A's part = Rs x

B's part = Rs y

C's part = Rs (1800-x-y)

It is given,

 \frac{x}{2}  =  \frac{y}{3}  =  \frac{1800 - x - y}{4}

(Equation 1)

From the above equation;

y =   \frac{3}{2} x = 1.5x

Now,

A's part = Rs x

B's part = Rs. 1.5x

C's part = 1800-2.5x

Therefore,

 \frac{x}{2}  =  \frac{1800 - 2.5x}{4}

Solving for x

2(1800 - 2.5x)  = 4x

3600- 5x = 4x

3600 = 4x+5x

3600 = 9x

x = 400

Hence, The A's part is Rs 400.
