SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above probelm as follows;

According to the question-

Let the A's part = Rs x

B's part = Rs y

C's part = Rs (1800-x-y)

It is given,

$\frac{x}{2} = \frac{y}{3} = \frac{1800 - x - y}{4}$

(Equation 1)

From the above equation;

$y = \frac{3}{2} x = 1.5x$

Now,

A's part = Rs x

B's part = Rs. 1.5x

C's part = 1800-2.5x

Therefore,

$\frac{x}{2} = \frac{1800 - 2.5x}{4}$

Solving for x

$2(1800 - 2.5x) = 4x$

3600- 5x = 4x

3600 = 4x+5x

3600 = 9x

x = 400

Hence, The A's part is Rs 400.
