Hey!!
This is your answer.
Let the common ratio be x.
So, number of male students = 2x
and, number of female students = 3x
It is given that,
male+female= 2500.
So,
2x+3x = 2500
5x = 2500
x = 500
Now, number of male candidates = 2x = 2×500 = 1000
and, female candidates= 3x = 3×500 = 1500.
