Correct Question :-

A total of 6 * 10^46 electrons flow through a current carrying conductor when connected through a external supply for 20 seconds. Find the value of current in conductor.

Given :-

• A total number of electrons in a conductor is

6 * 10^46

• Given time :- 20 seconds

Solution :-

Here,

we know the number of electrons

= 6 * 10^46

As we know that,

Q = ne. eq( 1 )

Here,

Q denotes charge

n denotes Negative and positive integer

e denotes electronic charge.

Now ,

As we also know that,

I = Q / t. eq( 2 )

Here,

I denotes current

Q denotes Charge

t denotes time

Therefore,

By combining eq ( 1 ) and ( 2) we got,

I = ne/ t

Put the required values in the given formula,

I = 6 * 10^46 * 1.6 * 10^-19 / 20

[ e is charge on electron = 1.6 * 10^-19 ]

I = 0.48 * 10^27 A

I = 4.8 * 10^26 A

Hence, The current through a conductor is 4.8 * 10^26 A .
