a towel in the shape of isosceles Trapezium whose parallel sides are 14cm and 12cm, the distance between them is 6cm.find the area of the towel with rough diagram​

Length of two parallel sides are given as 14 cm and 12 cm

So the sum of those two parallel sides=12+14=26 cm

Now,

The Distance between those parallel sides is nothing but it's height

So The Height (h)=6 cm

As We know that,

Area of Isosceles Trapezium =Half of sum of Length of Parallel sides × Height

So,

The Area of Towel = 1/2 x 6 x 26

                             = 1/2 x 156

                             =78 square.cm

Hence, The Area of Towel is 78 square cm
