A tower on the bank of a river is 20 m high and the angle of elevation of the top of the tower
from the opposite bank is 30°. Find the breadth of the river.​

now,angle theta=30°

as we know perpendicular,and want to know base from perpendicular,we will use tantheta

now,tan30=P/B=1/√3=P/20m

1/√3=P/20m

cross multiply,

√3P=20

P=20/√3m
