A tower stands vertically on the ground. From
a point on the ground which is 15 metres alway
from the foot of the tower, the angle of elevation

Here's the Solution :

Let AB be the tower

and C be the point on ground which is 15m away . (refers to attached figure )

Given the angle formed by tower is 60°

Therefore ,

tan60° = AB/BC

=>3 = AB/BC

=> 3BC = AB

=> AB = 3 ×15m ( BC = 15m)

=> AB = 153m

Therefore, height of tower is 153m
