a town has total population 30,000 out of which 18000 read "The Hindu" and 11000 read "TOI" and 3000 read both papers. if the percentage who read neither of these papers is p/3 , then find the value of p.​

total=30,000

hindu=18000

TOI=11000

both=3000

according to the formula

total = hindu+TOI-both+neither

neither=total-hindu-TOI+both

=30000-18000-11000+3000

=4000

so 4000 members read neither of the papers

let the percentage of neither be X

(X /100)* 30000=4000

X*300=4000

X=40/3

therefore p=40
