Let there be y no of 50 paise  coins

according to the question

3x=y

3x-y=0 ---------->(1)

50 paise = 1/2 rupee

according to the question

x+$\frac{y}{2}$=45

$\frac{2x+y}{2}$=45

2x+y=90---------->(2)

adding (1) and (2)

3x-y + 2x+y=0+90

5x=90

x=18

substituting x=18 in (1)

3*18-y=0

54-y=0

y=54

hence, x=18

            y=54
