Answer:

Acceleration=v -u/t

=[40-19]/7

=21/7

=3 meter per second square

Above:

V= final velocity

U=initial velocity

T= time taken

Answer

  • Acceleration of the toy car , a = 3 m/s²

Given :

  • A toy car is moving in positive direction from a speed of 19 m/s to 40 m/s  in 7 sec

To Find :

  • The acceleration of the toy car

Formula Used :

  • \bf a=\dfrac{v-u}{t}

Solution :

We know that , " Acceleration is defined as the rate of change of velocity "

Here ,

Initial velocity , u = 19 m/s

Final velocity , v = 40 m/s

Time , t = 7 s

Acceleration , a = ( v - u ) / t

⇒ a = ( 40 - 19 ) / 7

⇒ a = 21 / 7

a = 3 m/s²

Equations of Motion :

  • v = u + at
  • s = ut + 1/2 at²
  • v² - u² = 2as
