Answer:

Acceleration of the car , a = 0.105 m/s²

Given

A toy car was moving with a speed of 20 cm/s. Its speed became 50 cm/s after traversing a distance of 1 m

To Find

Acceleration of the car

Solution

Initial velocity , u = 20 cm/s = 0.2 m/s

Final velocity , v = 50 cm/s = 0.5 m/s

Distance , s = 1 m

Acceleration , a = ? m/s²

Use 3rd equation of motion .

⇒ v² - u² = 2as

⇒ 0.5² - 0.2² = 2a(1)

⇒ 0.25 - 0.04 = 2a

⇒ 0.21 = 2a

⇒ a = 0.105 m/s²
