A toy is in shape of right circular cone mounted on a hemisphere. The radius of the base of of the cone is 3cm and its height is 4cm.find the cirved surface area and volume of the toy.

Answer:

Volume of cone = 1/3\pi r^{2} h

CSA of cone =\pi rl

Volume of Hemisphere=2/3\pi r^{3}

CSA of hemisphere= 2\pi r^{2}

Volume of toy = Volume of cone + Volume of Hemisphere

=1/3 * 22/7 *3^{2} *4 + 2/3 *22/7*3^{2}

=37.71+18.857

=56.56

slant height = \sqrt{r^{2} +h^{2} }

=> slant height = 5

CSA of toy = CSA of cone + CSA of hemisphere

==\pi r l +2\pi r^{2} \\=\pi r(l+2r)

=103.71
