A toy is in the form a cone radius 3.5cm mounted on a hemisphere of same radius the total height of the toy is 15.5cm find the total surface area of the toy​

AE = AD - DE

= (15.5 - 3.5)cm

= 12cm

Now,

= \sf{ {12}^{2}  +  {(3.5})^{2}  = 144 +  \frac{49}{4}  =  \frac{625}{4}}

= \sf{AC=  \frac{25}{2} \:  or \: l = 12.5cm}

Total curved surface area

= Curved surface area of the cone + Curved surface area of hemisphere

= \sf{πrl + 2π{r}^{2} = πr(l+2r) }

= \sf{ \frac{22}{7}   \times  \frac{7}{2} (12.5 + 7) {cm}^{2}}

= {\boxed{\sf{214.5 {cm}^{2}} }}
