a toy is in the form of a cone mounted on radius 7cm .Total height is 31cm.Find the TSA of the toy ?

radius of hemisphere = 7cm

height of hemisphere =7cm

radius of cone =7cm

height of cone =31cm-7cm

  =24cm

T.S.A. of the toy =C.S.A. of cone+C.S.A. of hemisphere

πrl+2πr2 =22/7*7*+2*22/7*(7)2

  =22*25+308

  =550+308

  =858cm2

hence TSA of the toy is 858 cm2

R=7cm H=31cm H of cone from R=31-7=24cm.
then L(slant height) =√24*24+7*7=√625=25cm
TSA=πr(l+r)=22/7*7(25+7)=22*32=704cmsquare
