Step-by-step explanation:

Heya!

Here is yr answer......

Given,

The first train completes the round in 120 sec

The second train completes the round in 180 sec

The both trains travels in opp. direction

After how many mins they meet at station ??

Now,

First train appears at the station in these times....

120 , 240 , 360 , 480 , 600 .........

Second train appears at the station in these times....

180 , 360 , 540 , 720 , 900 ........

It's confusing ryt??!!

Just take the LCM .....

=> LCM of 120 and 180

120 = 2³ × 3¹ × 5

180 = 2² × 3² × 5¹

LCM = 2³ × 3² × 5 = 360

360 sec = 6 mins

So, the trains meets together at the station after after 6 mins.

Hope it helps...

Answer:

6 mins

Step-by-step explanation:

A toy train completes one round of a circular track in 120 seconds.

120 seconds = 2 minutes.

Another one complete surround in 180 seconds.

180 seconds = 3 minutes.

Both trains move in the opposite direction in order to find time after which they will meet for the first time we need to take  LCM(120,180).

120 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 3 * 5

180 = 2 * 2 * 3 * 3 * 5

LCM(120,180) = 2 * 2 * 2 * 3 * 3 * 5 = 360.

=> 360/60

=> 60 seconds.

Hence, the two trains meet for the first time after 6 minutes from where they started.
