Given that,

height of the cylinder (h)=h cm

radius of the base of the cylinder=r cm

Curved surface area of cylinder=2πrh cm²

Curved surface area of 2 hemispheres=2×2πr²

= 4πr² cm²

Total surface area=CSA of cylinder– CSA of 2 hemispheres

=2πrh–4πr²

=2πr(h–2r) cm²
