Answer:

A track is in the form of a ring whose inner and outer circumferences are 88 cm and 132 m respectively. Find the width of the track.

Step-by-step explanation:

Outer Circumference = 132 cm

=> Radius = Circumference / 2π

=> Radius = 132 / (2 × 22/7)

=> Radius = 132 / (44/7)

=> Radius = 132 × 7/44

=> Radius = 3 × 7

=> Radius = 21 cm

Inner Circumference = 88 cm

=> Radius = Circumference / 2π

=> Radius = 88 / (2 × 22/7)

=> Radius = 88 / (44/7)

=> Radius = 88 × 7/44

=> Radius = 2 × 7

=> Radius = 14 cm

Width of the ring = Outer Radius - Inner radius

= 21 - 14

= 7cm

Hope it will helps you ☺️

Answer:

For the inner track = Circumference = 55

c =2pie R

55= 2×22/7 × r

r= 8.75

Area Of outer track = Pie r²

= 22/7 × 8.75×8.75

= 240.62metres

For the outer track, Circumference = 132

132= 2×22/7 × r

r = 21m

Area = pie r²

= 22/7 × 21× 21

Area = 1387m

Width Of the track =

Area of Outer track - area of inner track

width = 1387-240.62

width = 1146metres
