A trader bought 40 quintals of sugar at ruppe 450 a quintal and 60 quintals at a rupee 440 a quintal and mixed them together at what price a quintal must be sold at to gain 12%​

So 40 quintals' total price= 40*450=18000

60 quintals' total price= 60*440=26400

total price of mixed sugar= Rs 44400

new price per quintal= total price/total amt of sugar

= Rs. 444

so new selling price= 444+[12 1/2 * 1/100 *444] (as 12 1/2% means 12 1/2 out of 100)

= 444+ 55.5

= Rs. 499.5
