Cost price = Rs 1200
Marked price = C.P +30% of C.P.
= 1200 + 30 /100 × 1200
= 12 × 30 + 1200
= 1560 .
So the marked price is Rs 1560.
Selling price = 1569 - 20% of 1560
= 1560 - 20/100 × 1560
= 1560 - 1/5 × 1560
= 1560 - 312
= 1248 .
So the selling price is Rs 1248
Profit = S.P. - C.P.
= 1248 - 1200
= 48
So the profit is Rs 48 .
Profit percent = profit/C.P. × 100
= 48/1200 × 100
= 4 %
So the profit ( in percent ) is 4% .
