Discount % = 10
Marked Price = Rs 450
Cost Price = Rs 450 - 450 x 0.1 = Rs 405.
Selling Price = Rs 360.
Since Selling Price is less than Cost Price, so the trader incurs a loss.
Loss = Cost Price - Selling Price = Rs 405 - Rs 360 = Rs 45.
Discount % of customer = (45/405) x 100% = 11.12% (Ans)

i ) marked price of T-Shirt (m p)
= Rs 450
Rebate ( d ) = 10%
cost price (c.p) = m.p[(100 - d)/100]
c.p = 450[(100-10)/100]
= 45 × 9
= Rs 405
ii ) Trader sells the t-shirt (s.p)
= Rs 360
iii ) Now , cost price of the
shirt to customer (c.p) = Rs 360
this c.p < m.p
Customer gets gain or profit
( g ) = m.p - c.p
= Rs 450 - Rs 360
= Rs 90
Profit percentage to customer
= ( g × 100 )/m.p
= ( 90 × 100 )/450
= 20%
Therefore ,
The customer gets 20% of
Rebate.
