The answer is X=24.

cost for each book= 9000/x.

now according to the question,

((9000/x)-15)(x+1)=9000

on solving it, the equation comes as:

x^2+x-600=0

thus by solving it, the answer will come out to be 24.

Availer: that is 2x, I mentioned it as 2+x.
Availer: no that equation is correct only. sorry

The resulting value of X will be 24.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The price of X articles = Rs. 9000

So, the price of each article = 9000÷X

Now, according to the question,

Total Price of the article if each were Rs.15 less = 9000÷X-15

Making the equation from the given data:

9000÷X-15(X+1)= 9000

9000-15(x^{2}+x)= 9000x

-15x^{2}-15x=9000x-9000

x^{2}+x=600

x^{2}+x-600=0

Solving the equation :

x^{2}+25x-24x-600

x(x+25)-24(x+25)

(x-24)(x+25)=0

x= 24,-25

Result:

The resulting value of X will be 24.
