Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

A trader has 630 kgs of rice he sold a part is it's at 15% profit  & the rest at 8% profit

so that he made a total profit of 12%

Total rice was 630 kgs and total profit was 12%

so, 630 kgs sold at 12% profit

a part of it's at 15% profit

so, x kgs sold at 15% profit

rest sold at 8% profit

so, (630 - x) kgs was sold at 8% profit

then,

630*12% = (x*15%) + ((630-x)*8%)

630*(12/100) = (15x/100) + (630*(8/100) - (8x/100)

7560 = 15x + 5040 - 8x

7560 - 5040 = 7x

7x = 2520

x = 2520/7

x = 360

x=360 kgs was sold at 15% profit and 630-x = 630-360 = 270 kgs was sold at 8% profit

at 8% profit he sold 270 kgs of rice
