The total capital of the trader is

• Given data :

Investment in business is 1/3 of the total capital.

Investment in share market is half of the remaining.

And,the last remaining amount is ₹ 3000.

•So,let the total capital = ₹ x (assume x as a variable to calculate the total amount of the trader's capital)

• The amount of investment in the business = x × 1/3 = ₹ x/3

• The amount of investment in the share market = x/3 × 1/2 = ₹ x/6

• Total invested = x/3+x/6 = 2x+x/6 = 3x/6 = ₹ x/2

• So,the remaining amount of money is = x-x/2 =₹ x/2

Now, if we compare the remaining amount of money that we calculated and the remaining amount of money that is given in the question,then we will get the following equation :

x/2 = 3000

x = 6000

So,the total capital of the trader is ₹6000 (answer)
