A trader mixes two types of rice varieties with a cost of Rs.36 and Rs.42. If he sells the mixture of Rs.44 at 10% profit, in what ratio he mixes two types of rice varieties?​

let's suppose he takes xkg of ₹36 rice and y kg of ₹42 rice.

total cost of mixture=36x+42y

which=44(x+y)

36x-42y=44x+44y

44x-36x=44y-42y

8x=2y

8/2=x/y

therefore, he must have mixed them in ratio 8:2
