Rs. 1280 is the catalogue price of the radio.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let 100 be the catalogue price of the radio

Discount offered on the catalogue price = 25%

Trade discount = 25/100 * 100 = Rs. 25

As we know,

S.P. = Catalogue price - Trade discount

= Rs. 100 - 25 = Rs. 75

The profit he gets = 20%

If we consider 100 be the C.P.

∵ S.P. = C.P. + profit

= 100 + 20% of 100

= 100 + 20 = Rs. 120

∵ For S.P. of Rs. 75

C.P. = (100 * 75)/120

= Rs. 62.5

∵ Profit = S.P. - C.P.

= 75 - 62.5

= Rs. 12.5

If the considered Catalogue price is 100, the profit is Rs. 12.5

In case of profit being Rs. 160

The catalogue price = (100 * 160)/12.5

= Rs. 1280

Thus, Rs. 1280 is the catalogue price of the radio.
