Answer: The ratio of two kinds would be 2  : 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Cost of first type of tea = $4

Cost of second type of tea = $14

Selling price of mixture at profit = $12

Gain % = 20%

So, cost price would be

S.P.=\dfrac{100+20}{100}\times C.P.\\\\12=\dfrac{120}{100}\times C.P.\\\\\dfrac{1200}{120}=C.P.\\\\Rs.10=C.P.

Now, using the method of "Mixture and Allegation" we get that

First type       Second type

 4                        14

            10

---------------------------------

(14-10)    :     (10-4)

 4          :       6

 2         :        3

Hence, the ratio of two kinds would be 2  : 3.
