A trai travels the first 15 km at a uniform speed of 30 km /h; the next 75 km at a uniform speed of 50km/h; and the last 10 km at a uniform speed of 20km/h. calculate the average speed for the entire train journey.

Heya!!!!
Distance (s1) = 15km
Speed (v1) = 30km/h
So,time (t1) = Distance/speed= 15/30= 0.5h
Therefore ,
t2 = 10/20 = 0.5h
t3 = 75/50 = 1.5 h
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
TOtal Time taken = t1+t2+t3
= 0.5+0.5+1.5
= 2.5h
AVERAGE SPEED = Total distance /Total time
= 100/2.5
= 40km/h
So,the average speed for entire train journey is
40km/h...
