A train 100 m in length is moving with a velocity of 54 km/h in one direction another train 80 m in length is moving with a velocity of 36 km/h in the opposite direction find the time when two trains will completely cross each other. Also find the rail distance covered by them. (Rail distance is the actual distance covered by both the trains wrt ground)

here Va velocity of first train=54km/h

Vb velocity of second train=36km/h

relative velocity is

Vab=Va+Vb

54+36=90km/h=25m/s

distance=100+80=180m

velocity=distance/time

time=distance/velocity

time=180/25=7.2sec
