♧Question♧

  • A train 100 m long is moving with a velocity of 60 km/h. Find the time it takes to cross the bridge 1 km long.

♧Answer♧

Given data:-

  • A train 100m long is moving with a velocity of 60km/h .

To find:-

  • Find the time it takes to cross the bridge 1km long.

Solution:-

As we know that, 1km = 1000m

So,

Total distance = 100m + 1000m

= 1100 m

We have to convert the speed into m/s.So multiply it by 5/18.

Speed  = 60 km /hr

= 60 x 5/18

             = 16.66 m/s

Now,By using time formula.

Time = Distance/Speed

Substitute the value in the formula

Time = 1100 / 16.66

Time = 66.026 sec

So it will take 66.026 sec to cross the bridge 1km long.
