Hello there,

as we are given,

Train which is 100m long and moving with velocity of 36km/hr = 10m/s

(to convert km/hr to m/s, you multiply 5/18)

given length of bridge = 2km = 2000m

(to change km to m, you multiply 1000)

Now,

we need to find t (time)

so once again,

(d) total distance = length of train + length of bridge = 100+2000 = 2100m

(v) velocity = 10m/s

(t) time = ?

we know the formula : v = d/t

putting the values,

10 = 2100/t

t = 2100/10

t = 210 seconds

therefore time (t) = 210 seconds or 2 minutes 30 seconds.

HOPE THIS HELPS

THANKS
