» A train 100 m long is running at a speed of 120 km/hr.

Here..

• Distance = 100 m

• Speed = 120 km/hr

=> 120 × \frac{5}{18}

=> 33.33 m/s

____________ [ GIVEN ]

• We have to find the time taken by train to pass a person standing near the line.

___________________________

We know that..

Time = \dfrac{Distance}{Speed}

Put the known values in above formula

→ Time = \dfrac{100}{33.33}

→ Time = 3.0003 seconds.

The time taken to pass a person standing near the line is 3.0003 seconds.

speed =distance /time

speed =120kmph

=33.3m/s

33.3=100/t

t=100/33.3

t=3.0003s
