A train 150 m long is running at 72 km/hr. It crosses a bridge in 13 seconds. Find
the length of the bridge.

Answer:

total length = length of train + length of bridge = 150+x metres

total time = 13 sec

speed = 72 km/hr

= 72 × 5/18 m/sec

= 20 m/sec

s=d/t 20

= (150+x)/13

=260 = 150 + x

x = 110

hence length of the train will be 110 metres
